Prematurely Rushing Thru the Season

I was kinda' getting tired wearing pants lately, which in my line of work, means pretty much jeans. I couldn't even bring myself to grab some dress pants, you know, just to change it up a bit.

So I wore shorts instead. HAH!

Not necessarily the smartest choice, for a typical Vancouver winter day, ie, rainy day. Aw shucks!

So out came the rain boots as well, to get me to and from work. There was one brief moment, nonetheless, when I thought I convinced myself that spring might just be around the corner... pfffftt... yah right!

More White

In the last few years, never really been a fan of white sweaters/knits. Not sure why. I guess it feels like too much of a blank canvas, for lack of better words.

Short Over Long

Figuring out what to wear yesterday morning, couldn't keep the image of short over long out of my head, thanks to my sis and one of my fave blogs.

Ok, I didn't have the moto jacket that they wore. And even if I did, it would not have been enough to keep me warm on its own, or it would have been to hot to wear all day at work... excuses, excuses...

So, I translated it the way it makes sense in my head (ok, relatively speaking... hehe) that's appropriate (again, relatively speaking) for work.

I love the details of this shirt. Funny enough, I don't think I've ever worn it by itself to really allow for the details to show, even in the summer! Go figure! So almost always, since it gets buried in the layers, I still end up wearing a necklace. Go figure! The ironic part is, I have another shirt, albeit with different details but same concept, that suffers from the same dilemma. Go figure!

Although I wasn't really planning to post an outfit yesterday, which meant I went to work wearing what I really shouldn't have *gasp*, but I did, so sue me, I thought I'd post an ideal outfit that I had in my head, but I didn't... I realize wearing the "biker" boots does not necessarily go with the feel of the outfit, but it was just pouring all day and need to keep my feet dry! What about rain boots? Oh yah, guess I can wear that too, eh?

Rainy Days and Mondays

A local anchor mentioned how we talk a lot about the weather this side of town. It's true!

The weather seems to dictate how we prepare for our days, quite a bit, I must say. Why is that?

I suppose when it's a possibility to see snow, rain, and sun all in one day, what's a person to do but be ready for all 3, no?

What to Put On?

Couldn't decide what shoes boots to wear this morning, which is a rare thing for me. Heck, there are days that I usually have a shoes in mind but no outfit. Not today.

Turns out I had a reason. Don't ask me how it happened but I stepped out of our place not even looking out the window and as soon as I got out of the building, I realized it was snowing!!!

So, thanks to last minute decision, I left our place wearing my Patagonia boots, and thank god I did!!! HAH!

Black + Brown + Gray

There was a time when "they" said that you cannot combine black and brown in an outfit. But not anymore. I even say why not add gray too!:p

The city got some snow today, that's for sure. But being Vancouver as it is, first came snow, then the sun came out, then some wet snow, then most of the snow melted, and now it's just cold:p

While our temp out here West is nowhere near as cold as that back East, I say it was cooooold nonetheless! Had a dentist appointment earlier in the day, wearing a different coat, but by the time I had to step out again by late afternoon, I knew I had to change the coat.

And I'm glad I did! I think there was a bit of hail at some point. But then again, could be just my eyes as I wasn't wearing my glasses. But I'm pretty sure it was hail, albeit tiny.

Now, I'm home, and I'm not moving an inch from the couch, curled under a blanket. *warm smile*

Been looking for a long-sleeved dress since beginning of winter but haven't really found one that I like. That is, until after Christmas, after Boxing Day at that, and happened to see this dress on the Clearance section. Score!

Yah, yah, it's black. Big deal! And at this rate, I'm like, what, on my 3rd, 4th black dress now, but hey, I say you can never go wrong with an LBD, in whatever shape or style.

And best of all, especially with this dress, is that it's cut so simply I figure I can do anything with it.:)

And, yay, it's Friday!!! At last!!!

Blue Skies

While the rest of the family is enjoying mild temps back east, we are going thru actual winter temps, brrrr... Funny enough, it hasn't been raining that much, and it's been really sunny the last few days. What's up with that! But I'll take whatever sun comes our way...
