I had to girl-ify it a bit, of course...

I continue to have the case of the Monday. I wouldn't be surprised if it lasts til Thursday. HAH!

Getting Nekkid (Yah Right!)

Ever since my other sis brought to my attention that the color of this sweater is almost the same as my skin tone, I started associated it with nude skin.

Don't ask me why that thought never crossed my mind when I bought it. Regardless, I continue to like the sweater. I'd like to think my skin does not look like a cable knit. Does it? HAH!

Kinda' losing momentum lately with my "writing". Not sure if it's the adjustment to the change of season, or work, or the books that I'm trying to finish, or god knows what else...

Must not lose speed... But then again, if I do, so what? hehe... Hmmm...

On an unrelated note, and late a day as it may be, just want to acknowledge the soldiers out there, both old and new, who put their lives on the line all in the name of our freedom. Happy Remembrance Day!

Well, I wanted to be comfortable as well when met up with friends Saturday night.

Red, and White and Blue (Stripe)

American or not, to me, it's just so easy to gravitate towards these color combo.  It's a no-brainer, easy on the eye, simple and classic. It's not just me, I know that.

I've had this jacket for what feels like forever. I know it's time to move on and part with it, but I just can't seem to, despite having even seen a grandma wearing the same thing, no offense.

I've also had this shorts for a while now and every time I consider donating it, I always seem to find a reason not to, aside from the fact that it was a gift.

Well, one of the jacket's pocket got caught on my desk yesterday and the entire one side of the pocket ripped. Seeing that I'm sewing-challenged, I think I may have just found a reason to let it go.

Another well, I just realized looking at these pix that I looked like a swallowed an entire watermelon and it landed on my hips. So, I think I may have just found a reason to let this one go too.

Moving on...

"Red, white and blue..." and coulda added "stars over you..." I suppose, had I been wearing my star-print scarf ... Instead, just "Red, white and blue..." with leopard... Ok, that doesn't even make sense...

This is a fave color combo for sure. The top? Feel free to ignore it hehe Didn't have much energy when getting ready for work this morning. Strangely enough, I did wake up at a reasonable time.

I love the color of these espadrilles. The unfortunate part is I don't think Soludos are designed for feet like mine, with narrow heels, that is. Although I think I may still be able to do something about it (hopefully), so not totally giving up on it just yet.

At first I thought I'd be joining some people at work for somebody's going-away party after work. But as it turned out, was able to get in to an advanced screening of Total Recall. Score! And yes, definitely yes on the  movie. Colin Farrell, what can I say. *grin*

Summer Breeze

Another perfect sunny day. *happy sigh* Sunny with a bit of a breeze, just enough to cool one off.

It'd been more perfect if it wasn't spent inside an office that feels like a furnace in the morning and a freezer in the afternoon. But that's neither here nor there...

If I haven't mentioned it before, I'm saying it now, I love these pants. I got them last fall(?), and I've worn it to death already. I just love how the color is season-less (is that even a word?). I'm pretty sure it's cost-per-wear is approaching to cents now (ok, that's probably an exaggeration, but it's pretty close, I'm sure).

Funny how the same girlfriend I mentioned yesterday wearing something similar to mine just happens to be wearing similar color palette as mine today, again (wish I remembered to take a pic, then it'd been 2 headless figures hehe). How about that, eh?

Blue and Floral;)

Last night, after work, met some colleagues I haven't seen in a while. For 5 women to get together, it definitely took a bit of an effort. Like someone in the group said, it was like herding cats. Go figure.

Let's just say last night's get-together took roughly 50 email correspondences and a few text messages here and there in a span of a month and a half. What was up with that!

But in the end, yes, we finally locked down a date. And what a fun evening!

We met up right after work, so we're talking late afternoon and it just went on and on. It's interesting, to me, that as a group, it was the most unlikely grouping, but with a common experience, the personalities just mesh and the dynamics work for some reason. Unexpected, in a delightful way...

Oh, and these sandals were worn for the first time last night. Let's just say I had to break it in, but for a change I didn't care. I like it, ok. And because I've been on flats for a good while now, I just felt really tall in these babies. Best part, it was only $10! Yay!

Wear the (Summer) Rainbow

I figured since Skittles suggests to "taste the rainbow", I thought why not wear it...

First, I got this cardi thanks to a fave read.Then after having bought it, I realize I actually liked her entire look so I knew the moment I get a chance, I will do something similar.

Second, yes, it's a cover-up dress. That I wore to work! Is that so bad? (ah, ya-ah *shakes head*) BUT what I like, and want to point out, is that you couldn't tell (Or did I just convince myself that? Well, nobody said anything). It just looks like your normal summer dress. I know I've talked about how casual things are at work, but c'mon, even I have my limits.

Needless to say, this getup got a lot of comments. I think they were all good. Well, I take them to be good anyway. *grin* Strangely enough, the moment I stepped out of our place, I felt a bit self-conscious. Only for a second though. hehe As I started looking around, all I could see were figures of grays and whites and blacks and tans. For a brief moment, I wondered what happened to the colors. It is summer, people!

4-Hour Sleep

Through no one's fault... actually, through our own doing, managed to only get 4 hours of sleep last night. Waaah! (Suck it up, you sissy you!)

Watched The Avengers last night and caught the last screening for the night, which meant we didn't get home til 1:30. Yikes! What were we thinking!

Then there I was in morning, at work, thinking I'd try to have as much as an easy day I can get away with. But no... So much for best laid plans...

So what does 4-hour sleep and a promise of a beautiful sunny day look like in an outfit? A myriad of colors, apparently. Compensating much?

I've been seeing this look for a while now, so this morning, as I was racking my brain figuring out what to wear, I thought I'd give it a try.

And since today is my Monday, having my usual case of the Mondays hehe I just made it to work in the nick of time. You'd think I'd be all stressed but I was surprisingly calm, I wasn't even rushing. And you'd think I won't have bothered with my pics, but hey, priorities, right? HAH!

I did have to bring a cover. I am working in an office that is always cool in the winter and warm in the summer after all.

A (Small) Sigh of Relief

Today was a busy day, not a frenetic busy day but more like good busy day, that it went by fast. Thank god! Although I did think that I'd leave on time, for a change (yes, still wishful thinking), with this stat holiday(S) and all, but alas, no.

Wah-wah-wah... But it's all good, I say. Hear, hear, the weekend is here! That's all imma focus on.

No real plans for the weekend, really, and I am just fiiiine with that. There'll be church for Good Friday and Easter, the rest will probably be boring just doing chores and what-have-yous, but did I mention it's a long weekend? Oh, yes, I did. HAH!

Strangely enough, there were 2 other women at work who were wearing green as well. Isn't that funny when that happens? Of course it usually just happens to women (and/or gay men, perhaps, sometimes, no?). I guess something about our energy levels sync when we work long enough with some people.

Actually decided to go for this color combo based on this article I read on People Stylewatch that shows blue and green jewelry for spring.
