This sweater used to belong to hubby from waaaay back when. I think so anyways. O wait, it could be mine. It's that old that I actually don't remember anymore.

I had to girl-ify it a bit, of course...

I continue to have the case of the Monday. I wouldn't be surprised if it lasts til Thursday. HAH!

A Boring Rocker

That's like an oxymoron, no? How can a rocker be boring?! Boring or not, rocker or not, that's what I thought of at the end of the day when I looked at my outfit today.

What can I say, it's Monday! I don't usually pick momentum til Tuesday at the very least. Heck, sometimes I don't pick momentum til Wednesday or Thursday, and by then, guess what, it's almost Friday already, wheee!

But hey, at least I was warm, I didn't look like I just got out of bed (I don't think, anyways), and it can only go up from here (I think).

These boots are turning out to be the go-to boots this season, next to my brown knee-high ones. I didn't really think it would be. I actually felt ambivalent about it when I first bought it last year(?) but there was something about it that I quite like, and I guess I was right after all...

I figured I might as well just talk about my boots, rather than dramalama at work, no? hehe...

Getting Nekkid (Yah Right!)

Ever since my other sis brought to my attention that the color of this sweater is almost the same as my skin tone, I started associated it with nude skin.

Don't ask me why that thought never crossed my mind when I bought it. Regardless, I continue to like the sweater. I'd like to think my skin does not look like a cable knit. Does it? HAH!

Kinda' losing momentum lately with my "writing". Not sure if it's the adjustment to the change of season, or work, or the books that I'm trying to finish, or god knows what else...

Must not lose speed... But then again, if I do, so what? hehe... Hmmm...

On an unrelated note, and late a day as it may be, just want to acknowledge the soldiers out there, both old and new, who put their lives on the line all in the name of our freedom. Happy Remembrance Day!

Here Comes the Rain Again

So totally uninspired today. Actually, scratch that. I did have several outfits in mind, too many actually, that I got stumped. Then factor in the rain. The result? This. Bah! Hate when that happens.

Hubs thinks I'm a brat because I complain that I have too many choices sometimes. HAH! Maybe I am? Nah! I don't think so... hehe...

A New and Old Fave

Another short work week for me, thank god! Woke up leisurely this morning, looked out the window and it was raining. Now, it's officially fall. What's fall in this city without rain after all!

Found a new fave cold season accessory in this tube scarf that I purchased a few weeks ago, and obviously was only able to wear just recently. I can probably wear it all day, especially once the temp gets cooler. And I love, love this shirt. As always, it reminds me of a fave trip and city, and the cotton is so soft, I could be lounging in it all day. And yes, I did wear it to work hehe...

When You Live in a Coastal City

I may have mentioned this already in the past but I just find it really interesting how mercurial the weather is in this part of town due to the city's topography and location.

Arrived at the office, a different office, on the other side of (one of) the bridge, and it was chilly. Even too chilly for my trench. And kinda' spitting too. What's up with that!

Apparently, crossing the bridge is all it takes to feel the difference in weather/temperature. So it seems. To me, anyway.

It's been a long week for sure. Some major change at work, emails were flying back and forth like cray cray most of the week. BUT the good thing is it's a long weekend, yay Thanksgiving!

AND on top of that, I have 2 short work weeks to look forward to after. See, it's not even Thanksgiving yet and I have something to be thankful for already. Actually, I'm always thankful, or I try to be anyways...

More layers were added as I stepped out when I realized it was cooler than I thought. Well, a denim jacket and a scarf. I say that's still light layering.

Which turned out to be not enough, eeeep.. O well... hehe...

Red and Black

Lat night, went out for dinner and drinks for a friend's birthday. It was almost a last-minute kinda' thing as another friend and I only talked about it Friday afternoon. Those are the best, I find, sometimes.

Figured can't go wrong with red and black at any time, day or night. I'm clearly not the dress-up kinda gal.

I love these sandals but had to break it in a bit. The leather at back part where it zips up needs to soften up. I know only women will ever say things like that. And I don't know why I don't wear this top more often. Although you can't see it that clearly, it's got asymmetrical folds on one of its sleeves which makes for an understated feature.

The evening was fun, as expected. Not a bad way to spend Saturday night, for sure!

Seasons Change...

The weather, for starter, is definitely cooler. I think there was even rain at some point. But it's more than that...

My usual office, that I haven't really been in a couple of weeks decided to meet up after work today. After not seeing them for weeks, it felt really nice to spend some time together. And to me, as happy as the event was, what makes it poignant, though I don't dare tell them that 'cause I don't want them to think that I miss them that much (hah!), is the fact that there are changes looming on the horizon. No words spoken about it, but we all know, things will start changing real soon, and it'll be a big change at that. Heck, I'm not even there and I'm feeling it already.

I'm such a sap, aren't I? I don't care. To me, first of all, that's a good sign that I love the people I work with. And besides, there's nothing wrong with that, is there?

Oy, all part of change, eh?... And growth... And learning... *sigh*...

Friday was just a craycray day for me. It flew by fast for sure, which was good 'cause brain was fried at the end of the day. All I could think of was where's the closest liquor store 'cause I gotta get me some wine. HAH!

Haven't had a week that busy in a while, ssshhhh hehe... In the end, guess that's a good thing. Brain juices had to swirl around every now and then, right?

Is it just us here in this city? Because of the abundant rain we get, believe me when I say every summer day is savoured. Bring on the sunshine, bring on the fun. Ok, maybe this is all me.

And I say wear the sunshine too... I guess you can say this outfit is like sunshine and lollipop, eh? A (thick-ish) stick and a billowy roundy top hehe... What kind of lollipop? Hmmm, coconut lollipop?

This is a fave color combo for sure. The top? Feel free to ignore it hehe Didn't have much energy when getting ready for work this morning. Strangely enough, I did wake up at a reasonable time.

I love the color of these espadrilles. The unfortunate part is I don't think Soludos are designed for feet like mine, with narrow heels, that is. Although I think I may still be able to do something about it (hopefully), so not totally giving up on it just yet.

At first I thought I'd be joining some people at work for somebody's going-away party after work. But as it turned out, was able to get in to an advanced screening of Total Recall. Score! And yes, definitely yes on the  movie. Colin Farrell, what can I say. *grin*

Last night, went to a retired co-worker's house to watch the fireworks, and of course, for some bbq.

Summer Breeze

It'd been more perfect if it wasn't spent inside an office that feels like a furnace in the morning and a freezer in the afternoon. But that's neither here nor there...

If I haven't mentioned it before, I'm saying it now, I love these pants. I got them last fall(?), and I've worn it to death already. I just love how the color is season-less (is that even a word?). I'm pretty sure it's cost-per-wear is approaching to cents now (ok, that's probably an exaggeration, but it's pretty close, I'm sure).

Funny how the same girlfriend I mentioned yesterday wearing something similar to mine just happens to be wearing similar color palette as mine today, again (wish I remembered to take a pic, then it'd been 2 headless figures hehe). How about that, eh?

You're a Rock Star... Not

With the fall-like weather we've been having the last few days, almost glad to hear that it wasn't just me getting affected by this unseasonal weather. Other people at work seem to be on the same boat (how appropriate... rain... boat... hehe). Around this time of the year, I guess people are just expecting summery weather already. And when you're not seeing and feeling it, it really throws your psyche off the loop.

More wah-wah-wah... How can the weather affect our mood so much?

I suppose I could be talking about less inane stuff, but see, I don't have the energy even for that. Heck, I barely have energy at work, let alone deal with other things. Bah!

Someone at work told me I look like one of those rock stars, with my biker boots and leopard scarf. An aging rock star, perhaps? Circa 1980's? hehe

I guess my outfit almost looks angry and rebellious. Yes, that's it, rebelling against this unseasonal weather, and angry that I've yet to enjoy my summer clothes. Well, ok, I didn't look it. More like felt it, I think.
