RED

Last month, I finally decided  to buy colored tights.

I guess I didn't have the the nerve to wear this particular one til now. I loved this color the moment I started seeing it in some of my fave blogs. And I guess it took me a lil longer to figure out how to incorporate it in my wardrobe.

And thought I'd start out in small doses. Just a peek here, for now, and maybe more next time. Hah! The good thing is I love red with any shade of browns/creams/taupes.

The whole time I was getting ready, every time I looked down on my legs, one song kept sticking out in my head, Red and Black, from Les Miserables. It's just as well, since I'm getting excited, to begin with, and cannot wait for the movie version to come out. Is it Christmas yet? hehe

Getting There

I mentioned yesterday that sometimes it takes a day or two for me to gain momentum. Not work, more like with how I look hehe...

Today was a non-stop kinda' day. This other woman and I had to go visit various offices and as much as it does not appear to be work, it was tiring going in and out of the car, talking to every single person at every office... wah, wah, wah...

Love, love this tights. Soooo comfy. Me, say that about tights? What's up with that? Seriously!

Just noticed my dress looked spotty too. Hmmm, again, what's up with that?! Interesting how I noticed things about my outfit at the end of the day as I'm looking at the pix. You'd think these things I should notice when I'm getting ready in the morning and before I stepped out of the house... tut-tut...

This Time, It's About the Accessories

Getting Ready for Christmas?

Today was spent on an all-day meeting.

Funny how just sitting down all day listening and talking, mostly listening, gets me more exhausted sometimes.

I like how someone said how the color of this dress is really nice and how ready I look for Christmas at the same time. So I'm not really sure if I was complimented or insulted. Hah! Meh, I love this dress regardless.

Winter-y Copycat

As soon as I saw this look from one of my fave blog, I knew I was bound to copy it one of these days.

Boy was I glad I layered. Got some heavy rain in the morning then the temp just really dipped by the afternoon. Not complaining. Still better than snow, definitely.

Definitely not complaining considering what some people are going thru right now no thanks to the recent hurricane. One thing that's definite was it put things in perspective for me, which seems to happen when major things happen around the world, whether jubilant or heart-breaking...

Watching the election coverage right now. Heck, I'm not even American and I feel vested in the result. Good luck America!

Rolling Stones Gather No Moss

After all that brightness on Halloween, guess I did a complete 180 the next day.

Wide Calves and Flowers

Here's another dress that was bought near the end of summer. Seems a waste if I had to wait til next summer, no? You know what I mean...

I gotta admit this wasn't the boots I was intending to wear. However, with the woolen socks and all (by all, I mean my wide calves hehe), the black boots I was planning to wear didn't quite work out. I even tried a second pair. But alas, no. Hence, the brown boots.

I suppose I'd take the wide calves. It's a reminder of the amount of walking I do. Yes, I'm just saying that to make myself feel a lil better...

Before the Leaves Fall

Did my volunteer yesterday, which meant I needed to dress business. Business-like, anyways. Better than I would for work, anyways. Which goes to show, again, what we get away with at work. Hah!

I realized this dress is not made for cooler weather (but what dress is? o yeah, sweater dress, I guess, duh!), but hey, I figured I could still make it work with boots.

The weather is changing, that's for sure. Air getting nippier and nippier by the day, for starter... le sigh...

Color Me Red

Woke up this morning and they say it was gonna rain all day. So what did I decide to wear? Why a dress of course.

Got this dress end of last month when it was clearly no longer dress season, but it just doesn't feel right to wait for next summer to wear it. I love the color and the scant flowers. I had to wear it now... hehe...

Now I just have to come up with more ways to wear this dress in the colder season...

Then Come the Boots

Didn't think I'd be hauling out the boots this early in the season, but I guess I just did.

Going Somewhere?

Last night, hubs took me out for a very lovely dinner... which meant dressing up...

I realized for a while now that I'm not really the dress-up kinda girly girl. The problem with that is I don't have an arsenal of clothing to choose from when it comes to night-outs.

Squeeze in Another Dress

Like I mentioned previously, last week was just cray cray busy at work. But I obviously could not let work just take total control of my week. I do have a life outside work... I think...

Kinda' sad when you feel you have to make plans after work just so you'll be forced to leave work on time. Who does things like that? Me, apparently. So, last Thursday, for example, I committed to do this thing with a co-worker so I left work on time, for the first time that week... Kinda' sad, no? Ay yah...

I got compliments once again with this dress. Never fails. And strangely enough, it's still not necessarily my most fave dress. Go figure...

Anyhoot, been getting my rest since Friday. Woke up late yesterday, felt nice, for sure...

A Touch of Neon

Although it has cooled off considerably these last 2 days, the whole of last week was quite gorgeous. It almost felt like summer all over again. Oh, but wait, technically it was still summer up until yesterday. Ah, so there you go...

Early Fall

One of the many things I like about this city is how mild September can be. It's as if it knows that summer can be a crap shoot so it tries to make up for it by delaying fall. For the most part, anyway...

Needless to say, another gorgeous day in the city.  Crisp air in the early morning and evening, but all warm and sunny throughout the day.

On a Stripey Roll

Yesterday's striped shirt reminded me of my striped dress which I ended up wearing today. I figure, before summer fades away...

Oh I know I can still wear this come fall (I can, can't I?) but I want to wear it one more time(?) this season, without any layering. My patutie did get a tad cold, thanks to the a/c at the office, and the unanticipated cooler temp outside. O well...

Oh and I guess it didn't help that I was practically glued to my desk pretty much all day busy with my new responsibility, which meant hardly any moving. Bah! Didn't think I'll be this busy *sigh* Wachoo gonna do...

Got the bow bracelet a few days ago at H&M. I've banned myself from shopping til eternity (ok, at least til the end of the year) but wait, wait, hear me out! Got this $5 card from the last trip and there was no minimum purchase required. So I thought I'd look for something really inexpensive, and found the cutest $6.95 bracelet! Well, isn't it? And seriously, after the $5 off, for what I spent on it, I thought the purchase doesn't really count. Does it?

Guess the dog days of summer are in full swing. Love it!

This is another fave dress that I've had for years. Not bad, considering it's H&M (no offense). And every time I wear it, I don't really do much with it other than change my accessories/shoes. How can I? There's a lot going  there already with the print, no?  But it's definitely made getting ready in the morning much more simple.

I love the back details of this dress. Don't think I'll ever get tired of it.

Right after work, the same woman I walked home with yesterday had her birthday celebration today at the beach. Yes, at the beach, nice! It ended being a small group as some people couldn't make it. I'm the only one from work who made it. Then there were her family and a few close friends. It was such a lovely event. Couldn't have asked for better company, weather, location. On a Thursday at that!

TGIFT!

Option #2

Today promised to be another hot day and since I'm determined to wear as many of my summer clothes, my hands automatically gravitated towards my summer dresses.

This happened to be dress option #2. What happened to option #1? Well, let's see, while putting it on, side zipper got stuck halfway thru, got hubs to help, hurt his fingers, at which point I suggested to him to use the pliers (yes, pliers, I thought why not), then him managing to pull it up all the way to the end only to have the teeth of the zipper gaped almost to the bottom... So, on to option #2.

And as much as I like this dress, my psyche was not ready to wear this one today. O well. Wachoo gonna do...

And boy was it hot! Ok, not tropical hot, or south-of-our-border kinda hot, but it was still hot. I love it!
