What a Doozie of a Day!

Well, today it happened. This (major) system change at work. That's all imma say!

Thought I'd come earlier than usual, you know, just to prep myself, then thinking that for once, I might be able to leave on time at the end of the day. Yah right!

I also did think that I wanted to be (super) comfy since I wasn't sure how much running around I'd be doing. Well-placed thought, I realized by the end of the day.

Love the details on this shirt, and I realized I haven't been wearing it as often... hmmm, I really must start clearing out my closet...

And since it's a short week, thanks to Good Friday, my question now is, is it Thursday yet?

I know, I know, just because we can pretty much wear anything to work, even something this casual, doesn't mean I should. But boy, am I glad I'm able to, especially on days like today.

Yes, yes, I know, it's only Monday, and not that this Monday was any different in a sense that I was not rushing or anything like that. I guess I just felt like going casual today. heehee

Really had a cray cray weather today. Weather Channel said it'll be cold (high 6) but sunny. An hour or so into work, it started snowing which turned to rain in half an hour. Break time in the morning, it did get sunny as promised(?), yay! Close to lunch time, it was hailing. Stepped out for a bit during lunch and it was mixed rain and snow. Oh yes, the sun came out again briefly in the afternoon. Then raining lightly by the time I was walking home. Cray cray!!!

Uniform

Now that the temperature has cooled significantly, heading to winter with just the blink of an eye, I realize I'm relying more and more on a sort of a uniform.

... Tunic or some kind of long top/cardi, leggings (could be jeggings or skinny/straight jeans too), boots and a scarf...

For the most part, anyway...

Too boring? Well, at least I know I'll be warm, right? Does that count?... of course I'm saying this as fall has really just started...

Funny enough, yesterday, I officially started a new volunteer work, and it calls for me to dress, in essence, slightly better than I would for work (sometimes). The agency has a dress code, and my work place don't have one. Funny, eh?

Yesterday was a crazy (good crazy) loooooong day. Let's just say I was with the company I was with for, uh, 14 hours together, including travel time.

At the end of the day though, couldn't have been more satisfied. Got to do a good deed, spend quality time with friends, what more could I've asked for!

It's ok, I say, once in a while

For starter, because I haven't quite made any plans for this week (and next) that I'm off work, haven't really stepped outta' the house the last day or so.

I could post my entire outfit but I don't think any one would really want to see my knit sweater which I've had since uni days. Yes, it was comfyyyyy and yes, I went out wearing it. *eeek* Figure it was only for a very quick run to the store:p

It ended being just right for the outside on a day like today, which turned out to be sunny and mild...

Rarely, as in Rarely, do I try to pull a denim on denim look. I know, I know, some would even say so don't even go there. Granted the idea, in its most recent return, is also from the last season or 2, but today is quite an uninspired day, so meh...

Ok, it's not quite denim on denim, perhaps. Also, I have to say I have selfish reasons for posting even the most uninspired look. Firstly, I'm hoping that by actually posting such "outfits", that I can remind myself that I can always do better putting a look. Secondly, if the first reason is still not enough of an impetus to dress better, that it's still ok to have the downtime equivalent of an outfit. Maybe it's just me, but sometimes, I just don't have the energy to plan an outfit and I think that's ok. I just hope I don't have too many of those "downtime"...

Grocery (kinda') Day

Today's an errand kinda' day. Needed to re-stock some (Italian) stuff, so had to go to this specialty store that we love. So much that seriously, we got out there having paid the amount equivalent to that of our normal grocery shopping on a regular market which would normally last us for, say, 2 weeks. Cray cray!!!

Anyway, that's why the casual wear. Mind you, as you will see me write over and over again, I really could go to work wearing this. Again, is that good, or bad?

A bunch of us decided to go for a walk today after work, so I thought all I need is a change of shirt and shoes at the end of day. Less weight on the bag too:p... Easy peasy...

Errand day

Had to run some errands today. I'll be the first to say that this outfit does not merit posting. So why am I posting it? I'm posting it because it occurred to me that I could have very well worn this to work. Yes! Seriously, I can! Guess that's one perk when you're working in a very casual environment. But I try not to go super casual. It can become a slippery slope, that's for sure.
