Weekend Review

Towards the end of last week, it just felt like the hours melded and before I knew it, here we are and it's Sunday already.

Met some friends last minute after work on Friday so there goes Friday evening.

And yesterday, even though I only did a couple of things, the day felt really packed. Although I did manage to squeeze in a short nap between tasks hehe But before I knew it, dinner time's come and I just had enough time to make some grubs.

I suppose it didn't help that my allergies started acting up towards the evening.

But now, I'm just glad it's Sunday, a day of rest, for a change. Whew!

Long Yesterday

Looong day yesterday... bah!

... and the meeting we went to after work turned out to be something different than what we were expecting. Bah!

On another note, it turned out to be a beautiful day yesterday, which is not what we were expecting, so it was a nice surprise.

Hump Day

I like talking cryptic every now and then. Actually, I've been told that I'm too cryptic sometimes. Even by hubs heehee

Came home and I just felt really exhausted. I thought I'd actually just plop myself on the couch for few minutes to relax a bit before dinner. Few minutes my behind! pffftt And now here I am later in the evening, no dinner prepped yet. And what am I doing? Doing my post, that's what!

People may not understand it, including hubs sometimes, but writing, whether this blog or not, just relaxes me.

You Know How It Goes...

This week, it seems my case of Monday-itis has extended to Tuesday morning.

Got up a little later than I should have, surprise, surprise. Funny enough though, I left right on time and got to work a tad earlier. Go figure. Guess it isn't Monday anymore, after all.

But because I didn't have enough time getting ready, some things did have to be sacrificed. Quick, easy, and comfortable was the name of the outfit game today.

You know how it goes...

A lot of interesting stuff at work. But then again, with my line of work, interesting is as normal gets.

Today's outfit title would have been "black and pink", but I figure you can see already see that. HAH!

Dots and Stripes

Oh Monday, Monday.

For once, I would like to not be rushing mad in the morning and half-walking half-running as I try to catch the train. And only on Mondays! Bah!

It doesn't make a difference whether I had a slow weekend or not, whether I went to bed early the night before or not. What is wrong with me?

Must be Monday-itis. That's what it is, isn't it? Kinda' like that 24-hour bug, no?

You'd think since I go thru this practically every Monday that I would have learned my lesson by now. Apparently not.

I love the back details of this top. I bought this top early this year and I only managed to wear it this time. Was waiting for warmer temp, and surprise, surprise, we're just starting to get them.

And oh, on top of rushing on Monday mornings, I also tend not to fall asleep early enough on Monday nights. Ach! What is up with that?

Naked Truth

Ever since my other sis mentioned that this sweater is skin-color (which never really entered my mind, strangely enough), the thought just got stuck in my head. I know I don't look naked but I agree, it is (almost) the color of my skin. It didn't take away from how much I still like the sweater but now there's the added thought of flesh in my head, every time I wear it. Gross, and funny, at the same time. HAH!

Thank god I don't take myself seriously. For the most part anyway. 

 

I guess this is as close as I'll ever get to "exposing" myself in public hehe

Actually, the whole week just went by on a blur. Either I was really busy or I'm becoming more forgetful, intentionally or not. Regardless, I'm just glad it's the weekend...

I like plaids. Any plaid. So guess it just makes sense that I'm getting into gingham now too.

Someone at work told me I look like I'm in mourning, so I pointed to my shoes and my necklace. And shortly after, I also realized that my shirt is not even black. It's navy. People are just strange sometimes. heehee

Another usual busy day at work. Not hectic. Just regular busy. Does that make it better?

A bunch of us were supposed to go to the blood bank after work to donate but one of the girls got a call saying they had a flood issue so all the afternoon appointments had to be cancelled. First image that popped in our heads was the scene from The Shining, when the hotel hallway started filling with blood. Are we terrible or what! But we all thought it was funny. Not funny ha-ha, just kinda ironic funny, no? HAH!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Well, it better! Considering the amount of rain we get, including today...

I seriously thought I am done wearing boots for the season. Apparently not. Bah!

I guess it is still April after all. No, wait, but it is already April! Ach, what difference does it make? It's damp, it's damp, right?

Regardless, I'd say it still was a good hump day. Nice and  easy, collaborative and informative.

Woke up this morning to a typical Vancouver spring weather. Gray, cool and wet.

Just as well I got this sweater yesterday at BR, and on clearance at that! heehee 

A girl at work told me my sweater reminded her of Waldo. Sans beanie, of course. I told her she can take a picture of me at different parts of the office then we can test everybody. HAH!

The sun did come out eventually, unexpectedly. Which made the walk home quite nice.

Oh and did I mention there was a problem with the train this morning? Which made me late? Which was great, especially on a Monday morning! Best way to start the week, I tell ya.

I swear I would've NEVER bought something like this in the past, but thanks to sis twisting my rubber arms, I ended up getting a pair myself when I bought a pair for her. heehee Thought I'd just give it a dry run, see how I really feel about it.

Couldn't have asked for a better Friday! It was an easy day at work, and very productive. It was sunny and mild all day. Everybody was in a good mood, not surprising. Friday the 13th at that!

It was a Thursday kinda' day. You know, that feeling, as the hours pass, the body & brain realizing more and more that the day after is Friday. Thursday feeling! heehee

I even had enough energy, after work, to window-sigh, and sigh I did! sigh, sigh, sigh...

But I must admit, it felt good walking out empty-handed, for a change!
